You is Boss

a guide to creating your personal standard of care

This isn’t about becoming perfect; it’s about becoming present.

Your Personal Standard of Care is your way of saying, “I matter, and I know what supports me.” It’s not a diet or a rulebook. It’s a rhythm — your rhythm.

Think of this as designing your personal playbook for feeling good — something you get to define, refine, and own.

Now grab a pen and paper, and let’s get to it!

The Method — “How I Care for My Body”

(Gentle science + personal structure)

Questions to explore:

  • Which nutrients or food principles anchor me (e.g. more protein, less sugar, hydration)?

  • How do I want to eat most days to feel light, calm, and nourished?

  • What types of movement make me feel most alive in my body?

  • What daily rituals (like walking, stretching, dancing) help me stay consistent with grace rather than pressure?

  • What does “move with joy” look like for me?

Now put it together!

My method of care is…
(Write a few sentences about how you want to move, eat, and care for your physical body.)

The Mindset — “How I Relate to My Body and My Life”

(Spiritual alignment + emotional wisdom)

Questions to explore:

  • Why does caring for my body matter to me beyond appearance?

  • What vision do I have for how I want to feel in my body and life?

  • How do I want to talk to myself when I’m struggling or off-rhythm?

  • What pace feels sustainable for me?

  • How can I bring more play, presence, or purpose into my wellness?

  • How can I stay accountable to my ideals in a way that is joyful?

  • Who can support me on my path?

Now write it out!

My mindset of care is…
(Write a few sentences about how you want to think, feel, and relate to your body.)

The Meals — “How I Nourish Myself in Rhythm”

(Practical food rhythm + gentle structure)

Questions to explore:

  • What meal timing or eating window feels best for my energy and mood?

  • Which foods help me feel grounded and emotionally stable?

  • Which foods bring me joy and connection?

  • What are my go-to meals or snacks that love both my body and my life?

  • How do I want to approach rest days or celebrations?

Now describe your natural rhythm!

My rhythm of nourishment is…
(Write a few sentences about your daily or weekly food rhythm — not rules, but guiding intentions.)

The Spirit — “Why I Care”

(Purpose + personal anchor)

Questions to explore:

  • What’s my deeper reason for wanting to feel healthy, strong, and well?

  • Who or what do I want to show up for fully?

  • How does taking care of myself connect to my purpose?

Now bring it home!

My deeper why is…

Closing Reflection

Now consider giving a title to your completed piece (e.g. “My Body Blueprint,” “My Standard of Care,” or even “Project Glow” 😉)

Then:

Read your Standard of Care out loud. Feel it. Notice if it feels like pressure or peace. Tweak until it feels like love — and keep revisiting it as life continues to shape you into the beautiful, blooming human you are.
