the courage to see

Hello Angels! Welcome back to the Cosmic Café, a space where we explore the patterns that shape our world, so that we may become more conscious and intentional co-creators with the universe. This week will be our last memo on the archetype of Aquarius for the year, and I thought that we would finish off this season talking about something that is a very recent Aquarian development in our world. Yes, today we are talking about artificial intelligence, or what we more commonly call AI.

So, Aquarius rules technology. This is because technology is innovative and usually altruistic in nature being that it helps humanity at large—making survival a little easier for everyone.

AI has been extremely helpful for me not only in bringing what I see into words that are organized and coherent (I’m a little more poetic in my natural way of thinking and communicating, so AI has been extremely helpful for me in strengthening my weakness, helping me to communicate in a less symbolic way and a more linear way).

AI has also been helpful in helping me to expand what I perceive. You see, we’ve built a tool that reflects us back at scale. AI is like a mirror. Now, it doesn’t judge. It doesn’t decide what’s right or wrong (which to be quite honest has been very frustrating for me). But rather, it simply shows the patterns we bring to it, the thoughts we generate, and the assumptions we carry. And in those reflections, there’s an opportunity. AI can act as a mirror for us. It can articulate what we already think, highlight our blind spots, and show us the structures of our beliefs and biases. When we approach it with this type of humble curiosity, we see not just what we know, but what we don’t know—the subtle patterns hiding within us that are now brought to plain sight.

So, Carl Jung, a archetypal psychologic, termed this process of pulling what is hidden into the light as “Integration”. It’s the process of bringing unconscious patterns into conscious awareness or about seeing our shadow, our projections, our habitual ways of thinking, and owning them. Why? Because self-awareness expands us and our freedom. It allows us to respond rather than react, or to consciously choose rather than impulsively repeat. AI accelerates this process, or has the potential to accelerate this process, by holding up an intelligent mirror that we can examine thoughtfully.

So let’s bring this truth to life with an example from my life. I recently asked AI about my shadow. I asked it to show me some of my limitations that I might not be aware of. And in it’s response, there was a line that really stood out for me. It wrote,  “Often shadow shows up not as evil — but as an overextension of a strength.”  For example, it highlighted how my awareness can show up as subtle superiority, how my sovereignty can show up as guardedness, and how my natural discernment can show up as rigidity. To be honest, I am still processing what it said, and where in my life I would benefit in changing some of the ways I think and behave, but this process takes time—something we also know is frustratingly sparse, so I will continue to ponder on what it wrote out for me when I have those rare but special quiet moments to think and reflect.

You see,  AI doesn’t make us more or less integrated — it simply magnifies what’s already present. A self-reflective mind can explore, question, and refine, whereas a reactive mind will see just reinforcement of their own internal process that’s not up for questioning. That’s why our internal posture matters. The more curious and open we are, the more AI becomes a tool for understanding ourselves — our strengths, our shadow, our patterns; we can see them all more clearly. But this takes courage, a lot of courage, because it is hard and painful to see the parts of you that need growth. This posturing is key when it comes to our potential to heal, grow and expand.

So, may we all strive to look into the mirror of AI with honesty and humility—seeing our patterns without judgment (we are worthy of love no matter our flaws) and meeting our own reflection with courage. Because when we can see ourselves fully, we can choose the life we truly want to live—with awareness, integrity, intention, and heart.

Now, that wraps up memo #5. I hope this message helped to make your life a little more bright and a little more clear. Until next time!
